What is Smartalec SmartBuffer?

Welcome to Smartalec SmartBuffer. This program has been designed to speed up your system performance by accelerating one of the slowest components of your computer: the hard drive. Smartalec SmartBuffer exists as a system tray icon on your system tray in your task bar so you can access it easily.

How does Smartalec SmartBuffer work?

Smartalec SmartBuffer uses an enhanced buffering system to allow for data to be retrieved quickly and more efficiently than the standard system used by Windows. In a conventional Windows system, there is very little use of a buffer system in accessing and retrieving data. Therefore, data is repeatedly retrieved from one of the slowest component of a computer system: the hard disk. This causes your computer performance to decrease dramatically and does not allow for a smooth user experience.

Smartalec SmartBuffer eliminates this problem by using an enhanced buffer that pre-caches frequently used and potentially useful data into the SmartBuffer. As the data that will be used is preloaded in the SmartBuffer, the data is accessed and retrieved from the SmartBuffer into the CPU. This results in a much more efficient and smoother user experience.

So How do I Use This Program?

SmartBuffer:

This program is extremely easy to use. When you start up the program, you will see a new system tray icon at the bottom of your screen. The icon looks like a traffic light. Click on the icon and a menu will show up. Click on the one of the SmartBuffer options and the traffic light icon will turn into a green traffic light icon. Disabling it would turn it into a red traffic light icon.

System Monitor:

The "System Monitor" option will display a system monitor toolbar on your desktop.
The system monitor toolbar displays the following system information:

• Amount of Physical Memory free
• Amount of Virtual Memory free
• Amount of Load on Memory system
• Amount of Windows Swapfile free
• How long you have been on the computer for the current Windows session.

To close the system monitor toolbar, click the icon to the right of the toolbar and select close.

Exit Program:

To exit Smartalec SmartBuffer, click on the system tray icon at the bottom-right of your desktop and select exit program. Exiting the program will return your system to system default settings.
